William Tetreault, Jr. Obituary

William A. Tetreault, Jr., 96, passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility in Greenfield.

Bill was born in Montague, MA on July 16, 1927 the son of William and Katherine (Potter) Tetreault.

A painter his whole life, Bill and his brother James owned and operated Tetreault Brothers Painting Contractors until retiring in 2002. Their work was seen in homes and businesses throughout the county.

On June 2, 1951 Bill was married to Sylvia (Duncan) and they were together for nearly 56 years before her passing on February 11, 2007.

He was a life-long member of the First United Methodist Church in Greenfield and was active in the Men’s Club and had been an usher for many years.

Bill is survived by his loving family; daughter Deborah LaLancette and her husband David of Fitchburg, MA, his grandchildren; Bethany (Justin) Albano, Meaghan Tetreault (Jen Tetreault), Ashley Tetreault, Morgan Willhite Gingras (Dominic), and Brittany Willhite (Dave Stacy), great grandchildren; Carter Albano, Caidyn Albano, Ryan Tetreault, Mackenzie Tetreault, Velzy Nalbandien, Julien Stacy and Jax Stacy, a daughter-in-law Deb Chabot, as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife Sylvia, Bill was predeceased by his son Stephen Tetreault on Aug. 16, 1998, brother Marc Tetreault on March 25, 2019 and brother James Tetreault on Feb. 20, 2021.

Services will be private and burial will take place in Arms Cemetery in Shelburne Falls.
