Wayne F. Farr, 63, passed away on October 14th as a result of ongoing illnesses, surrounded by his children at Mass General Hospital.
Wayne was born in Springfield, MA on April 10, 1959 to Wilfred F. Farr and Loretta (Dubour) Farr. He grew up in Greenfield, MA and spent the majority of his life in the area. He loved his children very much and worked hard to make sure they had everything they needed and more.
Wayne worked as a truck and bus driver for many different companies, but most recently he drove school buses for FM Kuzmeskus where he positively impacted the lives of the young children he transported to and from daycare and preschool facilities in Greenfield/Montague area.
Wayne had what some may call a “corny” sense of humor. He always made everyone laugh and loved the attention. He would also play practical jokes on his children growing up. Wayne taught his children by example how to have a strong work ethic. He was a handy man and also worked as a mechanic and had skills in many areas.
Wayne leaves behind two brothers, Kenneth and husband Greg of Port Orange, FL, and Bruce and wife Nancy of Turners Falls, as well as a sister Judy Ferris and husband Herbie of Indian Orchard. Wayne also leaves behind Tammy Sweeney, his fiance of six years, seven children, Heather Carlo and husband Jaime, Patrick Rooney, Lisa Bieniek and husband Justin, Christopher Farr and fiancé Heather Norwood, Melanie Farr and Dakota Farr, as well as 20 grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Wayne is predeceased by his brother Mark Farr, mother Loretta Farr and father Wilfred Farr.
