Viktor Pavlovich Pirozhkov, age 92, of Turners Falls, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully in his home on April 29, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Born on March 14, 1933, in Borisoglebsk, Soviet Union, Viktor lived a long and purposeful life marked by deep faith and a servant heart. He served honorably in the army and was stationed in China and Poland. Shortly after returning home, he married his childhood friend, Anna Vasilevna Pavlova, in March of 1956. Their friendship began in the first grade, where they shared the same school desk. They were married for 69 years.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Viktor was also a man of deep faith in God. He served as a Pastor and later was ordained to Bishop within his church. He was known for his generous spirit, helping countless people throughout his life, offering guidance and support to those in need.
In addition to his ministry, Viktor was a talented painter, a hobby that he took great pride in. He also was an avid fisherman. Fishing was his favorite pastime where he spent many hours and lots of fishing trips in his retirement.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Anna, daughter Tatyana Prisyazhnyuk, son-in-law Viktor Prisyazhnyuk, daughter-in -law Tatyana Pirozhkova, sister Nina Pavlovna Saikina, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his son Sergey Pirozhkov.
A funeral service to honor Viktor’s life will be held on May 2nd at 6:00 pm at Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home in Greenfield, MA. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend. Burial will be on Saturday May 3rd at the Green River Cemetery with a service before that at the funeral home starting at 11:00 am.
Viktor Pirozhkov will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know him.
