Victoria Marie Echanis Burrington, age 64, passed away on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, MA. She was born December 24th, 1959 at the Connelly Air Force Base in Waco, Texas, to Major Joseph Ygnacio Echanis Sr. and Grace Drawbaugh. She was a 1978 graduate of Vermont Academy. Victoria dedicated her life to helping others. She graduated from Vermont Technical College in 2006 with her nursing degree. She worked as an ICU nurse at Cheshire Medical Center and a dialysis nurse at Fresenius Dialysis Center in Keene, NH. She continued her nursing career at Pioneer Valley Hospice and Palliative Care as a hospice nurse. Victoria had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She is survived by her husband, Frederick M Burrington; her mother, Grace Drawbaugh; her brothers, Joseph Echanis, Lawrence Echanis, Thomas Echanis, Robert Drawbaugh; her daughters Marissa and Alina Semenovich; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. The service will be at the Heath Union Church, 5 East Main Street, Heath, MA at 3 p.m on Sunday, June 30th, 2024, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and celebrate this wonderful woman. There will be a second service at the Chivers Center on the Vermont Academy campus, 56 Shepard Lane, Saxtons River, VT at 3pm on Saturday, July 27th, 2024. Dress comfortably, pajamas optional!
