Sandra M. (Wells) Daby

Sandra Marion (Wells) Daby, born January 31, 1943 to Russell F. and Shirley M. (Perkins) Wells, became an angel on December 1, 2022. She embraced the light with her two loving sons by her side and their amazing wives, Steven Daby (Lori) and Norm Daby, Jr. (Christine), all of Buckland, MA.

Before moving to AZ for 15 years she was the owner and stylist of Transitions Salon in Shelburne Falls then retiring when she returned to this area. She was a pioneer of introducing new products into her salon and even offered tanning beds when they were so popular. She enjoyed doing the makeup and hair for many of the Mohawk Regional High School plays, loved being a cheerleading advisor and treating the students to her delicious chocolate chip cookies!

Family was Sandy’s most treasured thing in life. Her eyes would glisten and her face would form a beautiful smile filled with pride when she spoke of her sons, their wives, grandsons or great-grandsons.  Besides her sons she leaves their father Norman (Pete) Daby, Sr. of Buckland, her grandsons Casey Daby of Pittsfield, MA and Alex Daby of CA.  In addition she’ll be greatly missed by her two great-grandsons, Parker Gallese and Maverick Daby both of Pittsfield. She also leaves her two sisters, Dorothy Parker of Buckland and Barb Turcotte of Springfield.

Her nephews, Jeff Wells (Amanda) of Springfield and Russell Turcotte (Ellen) of Burbank, CA have wonderful memories of time spent with their special aunt. She also leaves a community of incredible friends in AZ.

There’s so much to say about her 79 years with so many marvelous memories and so little space to capture the essence of her. She has requested there be no services and instead a private gathering of family to reminisce and celebrate her life.
