Shelburne- Rosemarie (Hunkler) (Turner) Churchill, 91, formerly of the Mohawk Trail, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Buckley Healthcare Center in Greenfield.
Rosemarie was born in Adams, MA on April 10, 1931 the daughter of Lawrence and Eva (Leazer) Hunkler. She was a graduate of Charlemont High School, class of 1949.
Rosemarie was a clerk at the former Big Indian Shop on the Mohawk Trail in Charlemont.
She is survived by her son Douglas Turner of Northfield, daughter Diane Putnam of Limington, ME, 4 grandchildren; Nikki (Lee) Flanigan, Donald (Georgeann) Turner III, Shelby (Maurice) Caldwell and Brandon (Michele) Turner, great grandchildren; Austin Flanigan and Alicia Flanigan, Andrea and Sarah Turner, Michael, Timothy and Mariah Stiner, Alyssa Turner, Kaidon and Kailei Caldwell, Kaison Sullivan, 4 step-children; Audrey (Saad) Davis, Pamela (Bradley) Whyte, Gary (Karolyn) Churchill, Collin Churchill, 9 step-grandchildren, sister Dorothy Purinton, 3 nieces; Joan Ward (whom she was very close too), Donna Dushane, Karen Jackman and a nephew Jeffrey Purinton.
Rosemarie was predeceased by her first husband Donald Turner, son Donald Turner II, her second husband Harlow Churchill, brother Lawrence “Buddy” Hunkler, and son in law Kenneth Putnam.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 2:00 pm at Arms Cemetery in Shelburne Falls.
