Ronald H. Gleason, Athol, MA, passed away on August 28, 2025, at the home of his daughter, in Seekonk, MA, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Colrain on March 26, 1941, to Herbert and Dorothy (Pike). Ronald went to Arms Academy. He joined the Air Force in July 1959 until being honorably discharged in July of 1963.
He taught his daughters to find laughter in everything. He kept them laughing until the end. He was very sociable and well liked. He never walked away from anybody without leaving a smile on their face. He was thankful for each and every person he encountered. He taught his girls that it is better to give than to receive. He was a simple man that knew family and friendships were the most important things in life. He never put himself before others.
He is survived by his daughters, Robin Silver (Tom), Christi Martin (Barry), Colleen Vore (Crispin), grandchildren, Tom Silver (Lauren), Curtis Silver (Chrystal), Cory Silver (Jolene), Clifford Martin (Alyssa), Ashlie Martin, Thomas Malooly (Jessi), Amber McClinton (Marc), 10 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Mary Singley, several nieces, nephews and his loving companion Barbara Smith.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother, Forest Gleason, sisters, Jacqueline Nichols, Marjorie Miskolczi, Dawn Terlikoski and his wife Janice, with whom he spent 59 years, and he missed dearly.
