Roger Alfred Pearce, 92 passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
Roger was born to Alfred and Helen (Rodgers) Pearce on October 28, 1928 in South Pomfret VT. He spent his childhood years in Brandon VT before his family moved to Warren VT when he was 12 years old. In Warren he met the love of his life Marion Pierce who he married on June 24, 1950. They spent 66 years together before she passed in 2016. Roger had a full life and was loved by everyone around him. He spent most of his life working most recently maintaining the Ashfield Community Golf Course. He took great pride in “his” golf course and was sad to have to stop spending his days there.
Besides his wife Marion, Roger was predeceased by his son Roger Pearce Jr. and many of his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son Alfred Pearce of North Adams, MA and five daughters, Rose Pearce, Robin Pearce, and Sharon Folino all of Colrain, MA, Donna Stone and her husband Jim of Hephzibah, GA , Dawn Hyytinen and her husband Daniel with whom he resided in Buckland, his brother Guy Pearce of Morrisville, VT, his two sisters Judy Pearce of Barre, VT and Linda Sumner of Buckeye, AZ. He is also survived by his many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He will be missed by all.
