Robert H. Drew

Robert H. Drew, 96, of Nelson Rd., passed away peacefully Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility in Greenfield after a brief illness.

Bob was born in Greenfield, MA on October 26, 1925 the son of Ernest and Mary (Totman) Drew. He graduated from Greenfield High School, class of 1943.

Bob worked for A.R. Sandri in Greenfield as the data processing manager for 27 years, retiring in October of 1991.

He was married to Beatrice (Peters) on May 8, 1954.  A devoted couple, they were often seen at various events together, supporting the community and their Church. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and an appreciative Great Grandpa who loved their pictures and videos on his ipad. 

Bob was a former member of the Greenfield YMCA for many years and was active with their Service Club. 

Bob and Bea were long-time communicants of St. Joseph’s Church in Shelburne Falls.

Along with his wife Bea, survivors include their son Peter Drew (Deb) of Dover NH. 3 Grandsons, 8 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also, he was predeceased by 2 brothers, Ray and Sid and a sister Ruth Gillette. 

A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, Aug. 15 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Church, 34 Monroe Ave., Shelburne Falls.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
