Priscilla Jane (Williams) Emond

Priscilla Jane (Williams) Emond, “PJ”, of Hadley, MA (formerly of Greenfield), beloved wife of the late Joseph Emond, passed away in the morning of March 26, 2022, surrounded by love.

Priscilla was born in Montague, MA on November 5, 1931 to Mary (Martin) and Carl Williams of South Deerfield. She attended South Deerfield schools. She was employed as a nurse’s aide at the Franklin County Public Hospital in Greenfield and later at Franklin Nursing & Rehab. until her retirement. She was very outgoing and genuinely loved people. Priscilla never met a stranger. She was a true fan of Polka dancing, a faithful contributor to her favorite charities, and as a lover of nature she loved being outdoors and taking long walks. She valued hard work, good music, and a bargain. After she retired she enjoyed “tag saleing” with her husband Joe. Most of Priscilla’s life was spent caring for others. Her family was of the utmost importance to her. Priscilla cared for her mother during her last days, her older sister, and her late husband Joe.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Ira Frazier, her son, Wayne Frazier, her daughter-in-law Denise Frazier, her sister Joyce Matus, her brother Carl Williams, and her second husband Joseph Emond.

She is survived by two sons, Wesley Frazier of Swanzey, NH, and Joseph and his wife Gretchen Emond of Greenfield, a daughter Alita and her husband Donald Barnes of Orange, MA, grandchildren Dawn Frazier, Savannah (Frazier) Doleva, Catherine (Barnes) LaBelle, Haley Barnes, Mikell Barnes, Jacob Emond, Chris Emond and Robert Clough, five great grandchildren, a sister Norma Broderick and many nieces and nephews.

The family of Priscilla would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice and the staff at Elaine Center of Hadley - especially the entire team of the Leeds unit for their compassionate care. It was greatly appreciated.

All services will be held Friday, April 8 with a visiting hour at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 87 Franklin St., Greenfield, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The funeral service will then begin at 11:00, followed by committal prayers in Mill River Cemetery on Lee Rd in South Deerfield.
