Paul G. Grechel

Paul G. Grechel, 64, passed on July 11, 2021 at home.

Paul was born in Greenfield on November 14, 1956 the son of John and Arlene (Herzig) Grechel. He was a graduate of Mohawk Trail Reg. High School, class of 1975.

He spent his career working various factory positions at A.F. & F. in Colrain and at Deerfield Plastics, most recently he was an UBER driver for the last three years.

In his free time Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, four wheeling and off-roading with his son and nephews.

Paul leaves his son Eric Grechel of Colrain, a grandson Ely Grechel of Vermont, brother Steve Grechel of Charlemont, sister Sandi Kimberly of Hinsdale, NH, former wife Susan Grechel of Greenfield, nieces and nephews; Nancy Purington, Steve Grechel Jr., Jennifer Ryan, Sean Ryan, Allen Ryan, William Archambo and Elizabeth Archambo, his former in-laws; Alex Ryan, Francis Ryan, Russel Ryan and Eva Archambo, aunt and uncle Spike and Eleanor Herzig.

He was predeceased by a nephew Kenny Ryan.

A memorial service will be held Saturday July 17 at 1:00 pm at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 40 Church St., Shelburne Falls. Burial will follow in West Branch Cemetery, Colrain.
