Lynn D. (du Fosse) Breuer

Lynn D. Breuer, 71, of Lee Rd., passed away unexpectedly at home on October 10, 2022.

Lynn was born in Paterson, NJ on July 13, 1951 the daughter of William and Betty Mae (Hildebrandt) du Fosse. After graduating from high school Lynn attended Bay Path College in Longmeadow, MA where she received an Associates degree in Legal Secretarial Studies in 1971.

She was married to David E. Breuer on August 7, 1971 and celebrated the 56th anniversary of their first date on October 9th of this year. They had two children and Lynn devoted herself to raising them. After several years at home with her girls, she taught ballroom dancing for many years, having been classically trained in ballet. She went back to her legal secretarial training after, working for several offices in New Jersey and ultimately working for Malcolm Blum in Hackensack prior to moving to Massachusetts in 2003. After her move, she worked as a legal secretary for her daughter Jennifer for many years before retiring.

Lynn and David moved from New Jersey to South Deerfield, Massachusetts in 2003, to be near their daughter Jennifer. They travelled to visit their daughter Megan in the Netherlands and attended her dissertation defense there in 2009. Lynn was incredibly proud of both her daughters. She was also delighted to welcome her granddaughter Annabel in 2011.

In addition to her husband David, Lynn's family includes her daughters; Jennifer Breuer of Shelburne Falls, MA, Megan Breuer, PhD and her husband Remco Vasterink of Houten, Netherlands; a granddaughter Annabel Vasterink, a brother Richard (Patricia) du Fosse of Kennebunkport, ME, a sister Gail du Fosse of Los Angeles, CA, and a niece and a nephew.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, Oct. 17, at 11:00 am at Arms Cemetery in Shelburne Falls, MA.
