Linda J. (Janek) Tetreault

Linda J. (Janek) Tetreault, 76, passed away peacefully at home with her children by her side on Monday, May 15, 2023.

Linda was born in Holyoke on July 1, 1946 the daughter of Chester J. and Vata M. (Scisn) Janek. She graduated from Holyoke High, class of ’64 and later from Holyoke Community College, class of ’84 with an associate’s degree in accounting.

Linda was a bookkeeper for Community Enterprises for 25 years, retiring in 2012.

She was a communicant of the former St. Mark’s Church in Conway for many years prior to its closing. She served as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector and taught CCD classes as well.

Survivors include two sons; Edward Tetreault of St. Matthews, SC and Kevin Tetreault of Ashfield, two daughters; Vicha Tetreault of Orange, MA and Gina Barnhart of Hawley, a brother Charles “Chucky” Janek of Thorn Hill, TN, 10 grandchildren; David and Amanda Lively, Nicole, Theodore and Leanne Barnhart, Jordan and Jeffrey Robinson, Ashley, Holly and Tyler Tetreault, 4 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Friday, 5/19 from 6 to 8 pm at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 40 Church St., Shelburne Falls.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday 5/20 at 10:00 am at St. Mark’s Church, 169 Delabarre Ave., Conway. Committal prayers will follow in Plain Cemetery in Ashfield.
