Leonard Scala

Leonard Scala, 85, of Heath Rd., passed away Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021 at Baystate Franklin Medical Center.

     Leonard was born in Mt. Kisco, NY on March 24, 1936 the son of Nicholas and Angelina (Ruggerio) Scala.,

     Leonard served in the US Marine Corps, stationed in Japan following the Korean War.

     He was a greenskeeper at the Mt. Kisco Country Club for over 30 years, retiring in 1998. He was also a 53 year member of the Mt. Kisco Hook and Ladder Company.

     On March 22, 1969 Leonard was married to Diane (Ringwood), together for more than 52 years.

     In addition to his wife Diane, Leonard leaves behind four sons; Stephen (Kristen) Scala of Conway, Kevin (Laura) Scala of Wilton, NY, Christopher Scala of Mohegan Lake, NY, William Scala of Hardy, VA, a brother Nicholas (Cheryl) Scala of Danbury, CT, three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and two very special “adopted” granddaughters Elizabeth and Sarah.

     Leonard was predeceased by a son Joseph Scala.

     A graveside service will be held Friday, Dec. 17 at 2:00pm at West Branch Cemetery in Colrain. Casual attire is recommended.

     There are no calling hours.
