June A. Pilkington

June Antonia Pilkington of Shelburne Falls, MA passed away peacefully on (day, date) at her home in Highland Village.

June was born May 14, 1942 to Albert Pilkington and Nellie Doneilo Pilkington in West Springfield, MA.   She lived her early years on Bray Road in Buckland and later had her own home on Howes Road before moving to Main Street, Shelburne Falls and then to Highland Village.  Her education was at Arms Academy, Maria Assumpta Academy in Petersham, MA and Our Lady of the Elms College in Chicopee, MA.  For many years she cared for a special needs woman in her home in Buckland.

She will be remembered for her love of nature and gardening and for having a kind hearted personality and a warm laugh.  She loved her 2 pet cats, Buff and Butterscotch and will be missed by her family and friends.

She leaves behind her sister, Mary Peck, and brother-in-law, William Peck, of Lone Tree, CO, 2 nephews; Chris Peck of Los Gatos, CA and Steve Peck of Lone Tree; a great-niece, Anna Peck of Los Gatos and 4 great-nephews, Jaden, Kian and Liam Peck of Lone Tree and Justin Peck of Los Gatos; many cousins and her good friends, Susan Perez and Pauline Mills  She was predeceased by her sister, Paula Pilkington.

There will be a celebration of life at St. Joseph’s Church in Shelburne Falls at a later date.  Burial will be in Arms Cemetery.  Donations in her memory may be made to LifePath, Inc., 101 Munson St., Suite 201, Greenfield, MA 01301.
