Josephine H. (Aiken) Mahar

Greenfield- Josephine H. (Aiken) Mahar, 93, passed away at home on Sunday, August 4, 2024.

Josephine was born in Hardwick, VT on May 31, 1931 the daughter of Harold and Frances (Ralph) Aiken. Her family moved to Greenfield when she was a young girl and then moved to Turners Falls in 1946. She graduated from Turners Falls High School, class of 1950.

She was married to Donald C. Mahar on May 27, 1950 and they had lived in Greenfield ever since.

She had been employed by the Ingersol Rand Co in South Deerfield for 27 years, retiring in 1984.

Josephine was a long time member of the Robbins Memorial Church in Greenfield.

Among her survivors are her daughter-in-law Darlene Mahar and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, Aug. 12 at 11:00 am, at Green River Cemetery in Greenfield.
