John A. Markwell, Jr.

John A. Markwell, Jr., 75, of Wells St., passed away on December 7, 2024.

John was born in Greenfield on June 10, 1949 the son of John and Edith (Robbins) Markwell.

On November 13, 1976 John was married to Martha L. Belt. They were married for nearly 44 years before the untimely passing of Martha on September 1, 2020.

Together they enjoyed gardening around their home with both vegetables and flowers of many kinds.

He was employed by Greenfield Community College as a maintenance foreman for several years.

Survivors include his son Jason Markwell and his wife Christina, granddaughter Madison and grandson Jacob all of Greenfield, and extended family members and friends.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
