Francis Steven Fournier (Fran or Frank), 63, passed away on December 6th* at his home in Manchester, NH. The 6th child of Raymond and Eva Fournier, he was born in Shelburne Falls, MA and graduated from Greenfield High School in 1975 before entering the US Air Force, where he served for four years. After completing his military service, he worked for the United States Postal Service at the Manchester, NH Mail Distribution Center until his retirement.

He was predeceased by his sister Corinne Wisenski, who passed away in 2003. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Fran was an avid nature photographer who loved capturing beautiful images of the local flora and fauna in the early morning light. A sensitive poet, he wrote dozens of poems on many aspects of life.
“Death is but a fairy tale,
A lie one tells a child.
The truth is like a ship set sail
Upon an ocean wild.
Tactile senses lost, but yet,
Though science will deny
Feelings of warmth and love beget
A great light in the sky.
Familiar energies soon appear,
Then draw you in as one.
Gone is pain, gone is fear.
The power of the sun.
No hate or anger can survive
This one pure place of peace.
Despite many trials while alive
Your light will never cease.”
- Francis S. Fournier
