Donald E. Gritzner

Heath – Donald E. Gritzner, 79, of Branch Hill Rd., passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at home.

Don was born in Newark, NJ on March 1, 1945 the son of Donald and Claire (Hornie) Gritzner.

He was talented mechanically and fixing things around the house.

Don held many jobs over the years but most recently he was a security guard at the former Yankee Atomic plant in Rowe.

He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Shelburne Falls.

Survivors include his wife Linda (Galanti) Gritzner, sons Travis Peck, Robert Gritzner and Adam Gritzner, daughter Heather Wakefield, four grandchildren, a brother Edward (Renee) Gritzner, sisters Kathleen Gritzner, Susan (Bob) Kagel, Theresa (William) Grant, and Beth Sanderson, as well as nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Jan. 25, at

11:00 am, at St. Joseph’s Church, 34 Monroe Ave., Shelburne Falls. Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
