Chris E. Singley, 56, of Allen Rd., died December 31, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Chris was diagnosed with Sneddon’s Syndrome years ago, a rare progressive condition that affects blood flow leaving patients susceptible to strokes.
Chris was born in Greenfield, MA on July 28, 1964 the son of Edward J. and Marion (Anderson) Singley. He was a graduate of Greenfield High School, class of 1982 and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1986.
Following graduation, Chris opened Singley and Associates, a real estate agency serving the Franklin County area and beyond. Over the last 34 years he has provided assistance to thousands of families buying and selling homes and businesses. Along the way he developed an expanding clientele base that relied on his knowledge and dedication to the area. As a successful businessman, he was most proud of his connections and friendships he was able to create and build over time.
In his free time, he enjoyed taking his boat out for a cruise on the Connecticut River and Long Island Sound, just being out on the water. He could often be seen around town with his friendly smile and a wave.
He was a devoted brother, uncle and friend, always willing to help in any way. He will be missed.
Survivors include a brother James “Jim” Singley of Wilmington, VT, a sister Elaine Dufraine of Greenfield, nieces and nephews Julie and Jamie Singley, Franklin Dufraine, Amos, Ryan, Justin and Emily Singley, as well as many cousins.
In keeping with his request for privacy, there are no services.
