Brian R.C. Farrow

Brian R.C. Farrow, 40, passed away on September 23, 2023 following a brief illness.

Brian was born in Springfield, MA on May 26, 1983 the only child of Richard and Evelyn (McAllister) Farrow. He was a graduate of Franklin County Technical School with a concentration in welding.

Brian was employed by various businesses in the area including ISB in Chicopee where he was a welder in the boiler maintenance division, Propel Plastics in South Deerfield and at Yankee Candle Company.

Growing up in Hawley, Brian loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, trips to Maine with his family and animals of all kinds. He also had a love for music, arts and crafts, video games and spending time with his kids.

He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his parents Evelyn and Richard of Hawley, his partner Melissa Locke, son Wesley, daughter Genesis, his beloved aunts; Sandra Seltzer, Carol Burgess, Elaine Johnson and Ruth Derosher, and many uncles, cousins, nieces, a nephew and friends.

A visiting hour for family and friends will take place Saturday, Sept. 30 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 40 Church St., Shelburne Falls. At 2:00 pm, family and friends will have the opportunity to speak about Brian and the impact he had on their lives.
