Brenda Hefflon passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family in Greenfield, MA on October 12, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on May 31, 1951, to Norman and Constance Stockwell, Brenda was a long resident of Greenfield and a cherished member of her community.
Brenda bravely fought cancer for many years, embodying strength, kindness, and a giving spirit throughout her life.
Family was the cornerstone of Brenda's life. She is survived by her daughters, Debi (Christian) Miner and Amber Vega; siblings, Jean (Eugene) Darling, Norma Goscenski, Cheryl Stockwell-Tompkins, Norman (Sharon) Stockwell, and Robert (Lisa) Stockwell; three grandsons; one great granddaughter; two great grandsons; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Constance Stockwell, and her sister, Janet.
She dedicated over 20 years of service to Wilson's Department Store in Greenfield, where she was a beloved employee known for her dedication and warm personality.
Brenda's love for cooking and embarking on food adventures with her daughters brought joy not only to her life but also to those around her. Her home was often filled with delicious aromas and her kitchen was a place of gathering and laughter.
Services will be held at Smith Kelleher Funeral Home at 87 Franklin Street in Greenfield, MA, on Saturday October 26 from 11 AM to 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Brenda's memory can be made to Pioneer Valley Hospice and Baystate Franklin Oncology which provided her with exceptional care and support during her final days. Brenda's legacy of love, resilience, and generosity will live on through the countless lives she touched.
