Douglas Paye Obituary

WEST MONROE, NY - Douglas Scott Paye, 46, died unexpectedly on Friday October 5, 2018 at the age of 46. He was born in Greenfield, MA on June 16, 1972, the son of Donald and Carole (Jarvis) Paye. Douglas was a graduate of Mohawk Trail Regional High School, Class of 1990.

He was employed at Upstate Imports, Auto Repair Specialists, LLC in Baldwinsville, NY where he was lead mechanic in the European Car division. He learned his trade from working at various other specialty car facilities within the western Mass and southern Vermont area.

Doug was a car and truck enthusiast both working on them and admiring them.  He spent many weekends as a child going to Austin Healey meets with his family.  If it had a motor Doug had to drive it, from snowmobiles, to boats, to ATVs all the way back to his very first mini bike that he rode for hours on end as a young child.  Doug also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren.  Many great times were spent boating, water skiing and most recently paddle boarding.  He enjoyed yearly trips to Cancun with his wife. He was always available to lend a helping hand.

Besides his parents, he leaves his wife of seventeen years, Helen (Boyke), his sister Lynn Facey and her husband David and their sons Tyler and Cole of Cornville, AZ, a step daughter Shannon Main and her husband Justin and their two children Sydney and Justin Jr. of Constantia, NY and his mother-in-law Aiko Ryan of New Haven, NY.  In addition to services that will be held in New York, there will be calling hours on Saturday, October 13 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home located at 40 Church St. in Shelburne Falls, MA.  In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to a charity of your choice.
