David S. Lanoue

David S. Lanoue, 30, died Saturday, September 17, 2016.

David was born in Greenfield, MA on March 26, 1983 the son of David G. and Diane (Doneilo) Lanoue.

He was a graduate of Mohawk Trail Regional High School, a member of the class of 2001.

David was a Union carpenter (local 108) and had worked for several area construction companies. He was a hard worker and enjoyed working on vehicles and home projects such as gardening. He played and enjoyed the game of football. He was also an artist and enjoyed poetry.

David was a loving father to his daughter Kayla.

Survivors beside his daughter include his father David and step-mother Amy of Ashfield, his mother Diane Lanoue of Shelburne, his three sisters; Jessi Lanoue of Shelburne, Casey Lanoue of Ashfield, Peyton Haywood of Shelburne, step-brother Nick Giard of Colrain, step-sister Amber King of Ashfield, his partner Samantha Vight, his maternal grandmother Patricia Doneilo of Buckland, and paternal grandmother Joan Lanoue of Ashfield.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 23, at 11:00 at St. Joseph's Church, 34 Monroe Ave., in Shelburne Falls. Burial will follow in Spruce Corner Cemetery in Ashfield.

Visiting hours will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 40 Church St., Shelburne Falls.
