William P. (Bill) Keck

William P. “Bill” Keck, 72, of Haywood St., passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026 with loved ones at his side.

Bill was born in Brooklyn on June 11, 1953 the son of William H. and Charlotte (Brown) Keck. He received his bachelor’s degree from Queens College in 1975.

He was employed for many years as a Senior Legislative Analyst for the Guardian Life Insurance Company. He moved to Greenfield from New York in 1999.

For those fortunate to know him, he was a true friend. He was kind, generous, thoughtful and compassionate to all he knew, and those he encountered along the way. He appreciated and cared for all that surrounded him. He cherished his time on Cape Cod and looked forward to the next visit.

Among those Bill has left behind include his long time companion Tom Paquette of Greenfield, brother Vincent Keck of Miliani, Hawaii, brother Paul and his wife Theresa Keck of Delmar, NY, nephews Thomas and Tyrone Keck, niece Erin Keck, long time friends Chris (Boomer) Arena, Grace Leyden of Florida and Alonso Carranza-Cordero, wonderful neighbors Barbara Koch and John Bottomly, as well as many more friends.

A private celebration of Bill’s life will take place at a later date.
