Roger L. Emerson, 265 Upper Rd, Deerfield, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born in Concord, New Hampshire, on March 5, 1962, the son of Lawrence and Naomi (Dennerly) Emerson.
He was a truck driver for the Holland Company based in Adams, from 2004 until 2021 when he moved back to his hometown to take care of his father Lawrence, after the passing of his mother. Shortly after, his health began to decline.
Survivors include his father, his wife Lori (Anton) Emerson, his son Nicholas (Racheal) Emerson of Greenfield, his daughter Christina (Dylan) Forde of Turners Falls, granddaughter Annette Cote, sister Judith Leveille (Neil) of Turners Falls, nieces and nephews, along with family members through marriage.
Roger enjoyed tinkering with RC cars, clocks, and working on cars. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and he enjoyed all kinds of music.
Roger enjoyed making people laugh and always lent a helping hand when he could. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and will be deeply missed by all.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, Sept. 14 from 12:30 pm to 2:15 pm at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 87 Franklin St., Greenfield. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm at Green River Cemetery in Greenfield.
