Francis Goodell Obituary
Francis W. Goodell, 79, of Greenfield Rd., passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
Fran was born in Greenfield on June 18, 1944 the son of William and Pauline (Wheeler) Goodell. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Arms Academy in Shelburne Falls, class of 1962.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam war and was honorably discharged in 1966.
Fran was an electrician for the Western Mass Electric Company for 30 years, retiring in 2000.
He was married to Ann (Sedgwick) Goodell for over 50 years until her passing in January of 2018.
Survivors include a son Jon Goodell, of Colrain, a daughter Lisa Downing of Bernardston, two grandchildren Zachary and Kyra Goodell, a brother Mark Goodell of Venice, FL, sisters Mary Goodell of Greenfield, Beth Anderson of Venice, FL and Nancy Goodell of Springdale, UT.
It was Fran’s wish that there be no services.
