Edith E. (Snow) Morton

Cummington- Edith E. (Snow) Morton, 87, died as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on January 19, 2026

Edith was born in Northampton, MA on January 17, 1939 the daughter of Cecile and Leone (Barnes) Snow. She was a graduate of Arms Academy in Shelburne Falls, class of 1957.

Edith married Donald E. Morton on December 27, 1958 and they had two daughters, Deborah and Donna.

She worked in banking for many years and retired as bank manager in 2000 at the Conway branch Greenfield Savings Bank.

At home she enjoyed her flower gardens, playing cribbage, camping with her husband, taking bus trips, COA activities and most especially her family gatherings.  

Edith’s family she leaves behind include her daughters; Deborah Forsaith and her husband David of Bernardston and Donna Dyer of Goshen, her sister Lois Vight and her husband Everett of Conway, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Don on Dec. 12, 2019.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Jan. 29 at 11:00 am at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 40 Church St., Shelburne Falls. Burial will follow in West Branch Cemetery, Colrain.
