Tyrone Patrick Moffatt age 71 passed away Saturday November 3rd at the Elaine Center in Hadley MA. "Pat" was a resident of Shelburne Falls MA.
He was born on December 20th 1946 to the late Wilfred and Sarah (Egan) Moffatt in Detroit MI. He was a 1965 graduate of Irondequoit high school in Rochester NY. He proudly Served in the US Army from 1967-72, serving in Vietnam where he was a Military Police Officer. In Vietnam he was a member of the Crazy Cats.
After serving his country he married the late Sharleen Rose (Dimick). They were married 45 years until her passing on February 13th of this year.
He leaves behind a son Justin Moffatt and his partner Angela Davenport of Shelburne Falls, and a daughter whom he referred to as his "Missy," Kerri-Anne Moffatt and her partner Craig Lawrence of Griswold CT.
"Grampy" leaves three grandchildren, Anthony, Aileen and Abigail Moffatt of Shelburne Falls.
"Butch" as many of his loving family called him leaves behind three brothers. Michael (Mary Anne) Moffatt of Southington CT, Richard (Mary Ann) of Washington MI, and Terry (Lori) Moffatt of Farmington Hills MI. He also leaves a sister Sherri (Lee) Cooke of Bloomfield Hills MI.
He also leaves behind many family, friends, nieces and nephews that he loved very much.
Pat worked for many years at Kendall Mills in Colrain and after his retirement he worked at Big Y in Greenfield and volunteered at the Shelburne Falls visitor center. He was a lifetime member of the Shelburne Falls VFW and a member of the Shelburne Falls Eagles club.
A memorial service will full Military Honors will take place Friday, November 16 at 3:00 pm, at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. A Celebration of Life gathering will be at the Shelburne Falls Eagles Hall on Friday, November 16 from 5 to 7 pm.
