Paul Cardaropoli, Sr. Obituary

Paul Roger Cardaropoli, Sr., 81, died on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
Paul was born in Greenfield on January 24, 1938 the son of Louis and Mary (Filion) Cardaropoli. He was a graduate of Greenfield High School.
On September 26, 1958 he was married to Daisy (Greenwood) and they were together for 50 years until her passing in 2008.
Paul was employed at the Cains Company in Deerfield for many years.
He enjoyed looking for treasures at tag sales and flea markets and always had an eye out for clocks. He would bring those clocks home and tinker with them for hours in his shop. He could be seen on his daily walks in Greenfield from his home on Hope St. to Main St. and back, making friends along the way.
Survivors include his four sons; Timothy of Holyoke, Thomas (Patricia) of Greenfield, Paul Jr. (Jeryl) of Millers Falls and Christopher (Joanne) of Greenfield, his six grandchildren; Thomas Jr of California, Trevor of Chicopee, Kyle of Leyden, Kelly of Greenfield, Cody of Greenfield, and Joshua of Leyden, five great grandchildren, a sister; Cecilia Hubbard of Greenfield, several nieces and nephews, and his best friend and travel companion Sherri Raymond of Greenfield.
In addition to his wife Daisy, Paul was predeceased by his brothers Francis, Louis and David Cardaropoli, a niece Linda Stebbins and a granddaughter Lacy Cardaropoli.
A Prayer Service will be held Saturday, February 2, at 11:00 am at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 87 Franklin St., Greenfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Franklin County, 329 Conway St., Greenfield, MA 01301
