Margaret "Meg" Palmeri Obituary

Margaret E. (Grogan) Palmeri, 69, was called safely home on Monday, August 19, 2019. She passed into eternal life at home surrounded by her family.

Meg was born in Greenfield on July 19, 1950 a daughter of Donald L. and Catherine (Daly) Grogan. She was a graduate of Greenfield High School, class of 1968 and Greenfield Community College, class of 1970. She was a recipient of the GCC Distinguished Alumni Award during the 50th Anniversary of GCC in 2012.

Meg had served as the Clerk Magistrate for the Franklin County District Court for several years until her retirement in 2010.

Meg loved her trips with her friends and family especially the casino trips with the “girls”. During her leisure time Meg loved putting her toes in any beach sand and dancing. To keep her young at heart she spent days chasing her grandsons and great-granddaughter around at Unity Park. Meg was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grand mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She touched many lives.

Meg is lovingly remembered by her daughter Cari Pazmino (CJ Plesnar) of Buckland, granddaughters Cassie and Sadie Kudley, grandsons Tyler (Rachel) Ward, Dominic and Derek Pazmino, great granddaughters MaKenna Ward and Hayleigh Peloquin, two sisters; Noreen Grogan and Kathy Grogan both of Greenfield, four brothers; Tim (Joanne) Grogan of Greenfield, Patrick (Claire) Grogan of Greenfield, Dan Grogan of Longmeadow, MA, Kevin (Heather) Grogan of Maine, and several nieces and nephews.

Meg was predeceased by a brother Donald Grogan and sister Mary Markley.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Aug. 22, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 40 Church St., Shelburne Falls.

A Memorial Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 23, at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Church, 133 Main St., Greenfield with Rev. Timothy Campoli, Pastor as Celebrant. Committal prayers and eulogy will immediately follow in Calvary Cemetery.
