June Ann (Holmes) Gebhardt

June Ann (Holmes) Gebhardt, of Bernardston, MA, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 13, 1929 to Bertha May (Harrop) and Edward A. Holmes.

     After high school, June attended and graduated from Flower Fifth Avenue School of Nursing, NYC, where she went on to become a Pediatric Nurse. She married the love of her life , Ralph Gebhardt, in October 1951. They moved to Forest Hills Gardens, NY after their daughter was born. During her life in New York, June, along with her husband and daughter, became an avid tennis player and fan, joining the West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills, NY. June’s other love was the beach. The family summered in Atlantic Beach and Quogue, NY.

     In 1992 June and Ralph followed their daughter and moved from NY to Bernardston, MA where they happily lived out their days.

     June’s husband Ralph predeceased her in January 2016. She leaves behind her daughter Judi Webster, grandsons Kyle Jameson and Brad Webster, her sister Doris Hughes in Shelburne, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

     There will be a private ceremony of life at a later date.
