​Sharon G. Kingsley, 70, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2017, following a swift and courageous battle with Glioblastoma.

Sharon was born in Colrain, MA on December 27, 1946. She was the youngest daughter of Ellsworth D. "Ozzie" and Mary (Plant) Garland. In September 1965, she married Carl W. Kingsley III of Shelburne Falls and they settled in Greenfield to raise their family. Sharon will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife to Carl "Bud" and mother to their children, Chris (Sue) Kingsley of Hermosa Beach, CA, Steven (Christine) Kingsley of North Andover and Michele (Brandon) Turner of Erving; loving grandmother to her grandchildren, Jonathan and Jaclyn Kingsley, Rachel, Ben and Katelyn Kingsley, Andrea and Sarah Turner; and caring sister to Linda L. (Garland) Amstein of Buckland. In addition, Sharon had several brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews who all adored her, and she them. Her sister Mary Ann (Garland) Tetreault predeceased her in 1998, infant brother David in 1949 and a daughter Jenifer in 1974. Sharon's greatest joy came from being a mother and spending time with her kids at the hockey rinks and on the athletic fields. She was a true "hockey mom" !

She extended her loving touch by providing daycare services to numerous area children for 15 years. Sharon enjoyed walking, camping and spending time with her family and friends. Sharon will forever be remembered for her loving heart and thoughtfulness as she extended herself to many and always put others first.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 17 at Holy Trinity Church, 133 Main St., Greenfield followed a committal services at West Branch Cemetery in Colrain.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, October 16 from 6 to 8 pm at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 87 Franklin St., Greenfield.

The Kingsley family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Exeter Hospital (NH), Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, Buckley Health Care Center and Hospice of Franklin County for the exceptional care they provided Sharon.
