Sharleen Rose (Dimick) Moffatt, 67, of Shelburne Falls passed away after a long battle with cancer, peacefully at home with her children by her side.
She was born on October 26 1950 in Greenfield to the late George Dimick and the late Joyce (Pecor) Dimick.
Survivors besides her husband of 45 years T. Patrick Moffatt include her son Justin Moffatt and his partner Angela Davenport of Shelburne Falls; her daughter Kerri-Anne Moffatt and her partner Craig Lawrence of Griswold CT.; her sister Debra (Dennis) Rosenburg of Charlemont; 3 grandchildren Anthony, Aileen and Abigail Moffatt of Shelburne Falls. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends that she loved.
Sharleen was a member of the first graduating class of Mohawk Trail Regional High School in 1968. Sharleen continued her education at Simmons College and the Lemonister Hospital school of Nursing. Sharleen’s nursing career brought her into several hospitals and local schools. Her most recent job was at Valley Medical Group in Greenfield until her retirement in 2016.
Sharleen was an avid quilter, she loved her annual family fishing trip to Martha's Vineyard, and spending her summer's surrounded by friends at the Forest Lake campground.
Graveside services will be Saturday, Feb. 24, at 11am at the Leavitt cemetery in Charlemont. A celebration of life will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles club at 52 State Street in Shelburne Falls from noon until five.
