June W (Williams) Brown

June (Williams) Brown, 83, died at home on Monday, November 23, 2015, surrounded by her family.

Born in Stamford, CT on January 29, 1932, she was the daughter of John H. Williams and Nancy E. (White) Williams. She was a graduate of Stamford High School in the class of 1949.

She began her working career at Nabisco in Glenbrook, CT and Machlett Labs in Springdale, CT. In the mid 1950's, June moved to Rowe, MA and has resided there for over 50 years.

She was employed by Yankee Atomic Electric Co. in Rowe for 24 years, retiring in 1992. June then served as the town treasurer for the Town of Rowe from 1992 to 1997.

June enjoyed a lot of hobbies which included shopping, gardening and taking care of her animals, but mostly June enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren Ava and Ace.

June is survived by a son Christopher M. Brown, two brothers John H. and James H. Williams of Rowe, a granddaughter Amanda J. Rivera and her husband Junior Rivera of Buckland, two great-granddaughters Ava M. Rivera and Keisha (the Pit Bull), one great-grandson Ace L. Rivera as well as her devoted companion Toby (the German Shepard).

June was very appreciative of the loving care her son Christopher and granddaughter Amanda gave her in her last few years.

There are no calling hours.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, December 5, at 1:00 pm at the Rowe Community Church.

Burial will be private.
