Jennifer Moore Fisk, 65, died on November 27, 2015 after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Barry Fisk of Shelburne Falls, her daughter, Elizabeth Fisk of Greenfield, her son Christopher Fisk and his wife Corina, and her grandchildren Violet and Miles Fisk all of Turners Falls. She is also survived by her four siblings; Donald Moore, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Yorktown Heights, NY, Elyse Moore of Greenfield, Laurie Moore of Newport, RI, and John Moore and his wife Lisa Gustavfen of Conway, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Donald Sr. and Lila Moore of Shelburne Falls.

She was born in Arlington, MA on February 19, 1950. her family moved to Shelburne Falls when she was a child. She attended elementary school in Shelburne Falls and Arms Academy until her Junior year and then was part of the first graduating class of Mohawk Trail Regional High School in 1968.

She graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1972 after spending her senior year student teaching in San Raphael, CA.

Jennifer and Barry were married on August 27, 1977 in her parents garden in Shelburne Falls.

Jennifer taught English and reading at Mohawk Trail Regional High School for 10 years until her retirement in 1998.

She was an avid reader and passed the love of reading and language on to her children. She also enjoyed playing cribbage. Cribbage games in the Moore family were notoriously competitive. Jennifer also loved visiting family on Cape Cod with her husband.

Jennifer's family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff at Buckley Health Care Center in Greenfield who cared for her for the last five years. The family also thanks Hospice of Franklin County.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, December 2, from 6 to 8 pm at Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home in Shelburne Falls.

A Memorial service will be Thursday, December 3, at 11:00 am at Trinity Church, Severance St., Shelburne Falls. Burial will immediately follow in Arms Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greater New England Chapter of the National MS Society (www.nationalmssociety.org) or to Arms Library, 1 main St., Shelburne Falls, MA 01370
