James E. "Pixie" Pike died Sunday, February 7, 2016, he was 63.

Pixie was born in Montague, MA on June 20, 1952 the son of Ernest and Jean (Dunnell) Pike. He graduated from Mohawk Trail Regional High School in 1972, he later attended Umpire school and received his certification.

He was the owner of the Depot Bar & Grill in Monroe Bridge for the last 27 years and has previously worked for Boston and Maine Railroad.

Pixie was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Buckland, the Western Mass Rod and Gun Club, the South Deefield Polish American Club and the American Legion in Readsboro, VT.

He was a fan of all the Boston sports teams and his favorite pastime was boating on the Harrimon Reservoir in Vermont. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. Pixie will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate to know him.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, the former Terri Ann (Rajter) Pike, a sister Anna Humbert of Rowe, stepdaughters Julie Menard of North Adams and Melissa Craven of Wilmington, VT, two nieces Carrie Shea and Lurena Taylor, and two step-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Thursday, February 11 from 5 to 8 pm at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 40 Church St., Shelburne Falls. 

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 12 at 11:00 am at Trinity Church, Severance St., Shelburne Falls. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
