Henry Dandeneau Obituary

Henry “Hal” Dandeneau, 43, of Greenfield died Sunday February 4th, 2018 at home in the presence of his loving family.

He was born September 10th,1974 in Montague, the son of Henry and Evelyn (Howes)  Dandeneau.  He grew up in Rowe, MA and was a graduate of Mohawk Trail Regional Highschool Class of 1993.

Hal worked for Rodney Hunt in Orange for 20 years as a gate assembler before the company closed their doors.  After that he transitioned into a position at Hillside Plastics in Montague, MA as a shipper.

He married his love, Gillian Robinson, on June 13th 2003. He was a devoted husband and an outstanding father to his two amazing boys Trenton and Garrett. Hal loved spending time with his family and together they enjoyed apple and berry picking, taking trips to the Boston and Mystic Aquariums, visiting the Magic Wings Butterfly Museum, Rowe pond, Queen Lake and taking multiple camping excursions.  Hal loved vacationing with his family and he cherished his memories of time spent in the Outer Banks, at Queen Lake, and traveling in Scotland and Ireland.

Hal also had a great love of volleyball.  He enjoyed the comradery of his teammates, Hal always played hard and he played to win.  Over the years he has played on many different teams and pick -up leagues.  He got his start playing on Friday nights at the Rowe Elementary School and later was a regular at the Heath School.  He then continued on to league play at the YMCA in Greenfield and the Sitzmark in Wilmington, VT.  Hal truly loved the game but this time was extra special to him because he always had his dad, his sister, and his friends beside him on the court and his family cheering him on from the sidelines.

He is survived by his wife Gillian Robinson, and their two sons Trenton and Garrett, his parents Henry J. and Evelyn Dandeneau of Rowe and his sister Ellen Bealer (Dandeneau) and her husband Robert Bealer and his nephew Connor.  He also has many aunts, uncles, and cousins that will miss him.
