Genevieve M. (Pierscienerwicz) Hannibal

Genevieve Hannibal (nee Preston) age 96, of Arlington, Manchester-by-the sea, Somerville and East Cambridge passed peacefully in Greenfield, Mass at Buckley Healthcare Center with her family close by. She had been married to the late Joseph Hannibal of Somerville, MA and Manchester, MA and Terrence Myles of Arlington MA and Somerville. She is survived by her daughter Eileen Myles of New York City, Terrence Myles husband of Deborah Myles of Millsboro, DE and Ann Myles spouse of Judy Nietzche of Greenfield MA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Joshua Myles and Nate Myles and her great grandchildren Jack Myles and Claire Myles. Genevieve attended St. Hedwig’s grade school in East Cambridge and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Somerville MA in 1938. She worked as a secretary at Arlington High School until she retired in the early 80s. She was a great reader and walker, dancer and Red Sox fan. She was a devout catholic and a lover of life.

A funeral Mass for Genevieve will be celebrated Thursday, April 6 at St. Agnes Church, 51 Medford St., Arlington at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
