Doris T. (Turner) Niles

Doris (Turner) Niles, 82, died Thursday, May 5, 2016.

She was born in Chelmsford, MA on March 31, 1934 the daughter of Frank and Lucy (Armitage) Turner. Doris attended the former Arms Academy in Shelburne Falls.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Lamson & Goodnow Manufacturing in Buckland for over 20 years.

She was the widow of Louis B. Niles who predeceased her on May 28, 2003.

Survivors include a son Robert (Carolyn) Niles of Colrain with whom she lived, a brother Robert Turner of the Soldier's Home in Holyoke, MA, three sisters; Irene Bruffee of Greenfield, Marion Sears of Wilbraham, MA, Marjorie Wissman of Greenfield, MA, five grandchildren; Travis, Shannon, Ashley, Ben and Lindsay, seven great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.

Doris was also predeceased by her brothers; Arthur, Frank and Jack Turner as well as a sister Joan Badger.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 13 at 11:00 am at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 40 Church St., Shelburne Falls. Burial services will follow in Arms Cemetery.
